Perhaps the biggest addition to the 2018 Ford F-150 are the five exciting engine choices, including a diesel option. An all-new standard direct-injected 3.3-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine is expected to produce 282 horsepower and 253 lb.-ft. of torque. The returning 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine adds port-injection to the already available direct-injection technology. There is also a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 and a more powerful 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine that puts out at least 385 horsepower. The most exciting addition is the new 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel engine V6, which along with the other engines is mated with an innovative 10-speed automatic transmission.

It should also be noted that Ford has announced that the first hybrid Ford F-150 will be released in 2020 and will feature a turbocharged EcoBoost gasoline engine along with electric motors.

The 2018 Ford F-150 is the first Ford vehicle in the U.S. to come with an available premium B&O PLAY audio system delivered in collaboration with Harman that features 10-speakers, AM/FM stereo, and a single-CD/MP3 player. There is also a SYNC Connect system with the FordPass app that features remote lock/unlock, scheduled vehicle start, and vehicle location applications. To keep you connected on the run, there is an available 4G LTE modem with a built in mobile Wi-Fi hotspot that can support up to 10 devices.
